RAPPAPORT

I'm an Art Student at American University.

 

​When I allowed myself to embrace art, I knew I wanted it to be personal. I wanted to connect myself in the art, in either abstract or literal ways. I always found it difficult to leave myself out of the art I create, I did not want to just paint a vase because it was in front of me. I wanted to paint this vase in a way that was meaningful and allowed myself to be represented. I use my art as a form of therapy, letting my ideas and thoughts scream through my work. It’s like having a little secret to myself, one that I hope others may find as well.
